Commissioning Procedures
Commissioning procedures are vital because they ensure a system transitions smoothly from installation to full operation, verifying that it meets performance goals, safety standards, and client expectations at the site of operations. These procedures outline startup sequences, operational checks, and final adjustments like tuning a control system, catching any last-minute issues before handover to Operations. Compared to System Integration Testing (SIT), commissioning shares the goal of validating functionality but differs in scope and timing. SIT focuses on ensuring components work together during development (or the build), often in a controlled environment, while commissioning tests the entire system in its final setting, post-installation. Both rely on structured procedures to minimize risks, but commissioning is the final proving ground, ensuring readiness for use. With robust commissioning procedures, we deliver a system that’s not just built, but battle-tested and operational.
